An Ordinary High

The film was shot in the Spring of 2024, and in temples, churches, beaches, and the streets of New York City—places where one seeks to feel good when alone and in public, outside of the bed, and the home. It is about the private longing for connection—a high—amidst routine, a daily public life. The film was shot as an attempt to locate an intimacy between strangers who see each other regularly.

The film was shot as a part of the Non-Fiction Filmmaking course taught by Professor Meg Mclagan at Barnard College of Columbia University.
